NGOs and their Impact on the Status of Women in Nicaragua: 1979-Present uses the testimonies of Nicaraguans intimately connected to the historical and contemporary nongovernmental organization network in Nicaragua to answer these questions. Monica Weeks received her Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Women s Studies at Florida International University. The focus of her research lies in the impact of revolutions and women's movements in Latin America. She was the recipient of a field research grant from the Tinker Foundation.
