(Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 1941-2012) fue periodista y autora de éxitos como Ensalada loca (1975), Se acabó el pastel (1983), No me gusta mi cuello (2006) y No me acuerdo de nada (2010), publicado poco antes de su muerte a los 71 años. Su carrera como cineasta fue igualmente aplaudida, con títulos como Cuando Harry encontró a Sally (1989), Algo para recordar (1993) o Tienes un email (1998).
