New author Larry Botkins has a background in computer science and engineering, and is a former Software Engineer, Applications Engineer, and Manufacturing Engineer. His experience includes work in a successful start-up company, and also various roles in telecommunications, aviation, manufacturing, and farming. He is a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and received an Air Medal for service in each. He has enjoyed solo backpacking in Alaska, holds a Compostela for hiking the Camino de Santiago, and sometimes simply wanders. He currently lives on a small farm in Virginia.
