The writings of Larry Botkins are informed by a wide variety of interests and life experiences. He has a degree in computer science and was a member of a successful start-up company. He's worked as an engineer in various disciplines, and is an instrument-rated private pilot and an FAA-certified mechanic. His military career includes multiple services, service in multiple countries overseas, and combat deployments in both Iraq and Afghanistan with more than 900 hours of combat flight time. He currently lives on a small farm in Virginia, while maintaining a pied-à-terre in Boone County, West Virginia.
