Autorenporträt
Ria lives for a good plot - ever since she could think, nothing has fascinated her more. In a creative writing class not too long ago, she came up with the two main characters in this book. Originally, they were drafted as protagonist & antagonist to contrast and complement each other. She found it compelling to write from the perspective of a non-binary person without having the central plot revolve around it. After all, the notion of language losing its aesthetic qualities by adapting to people's identities still exists, especially in literature. Ria studies Comparative Literature in Munich and pursues her passion for writing on her Instagram account "rosecoloredlines" as well as with like-minded people in seminars. What makes for the perfect story in her eyes? It creates a feeling bigger than oneself, even though one can immediately connect with it.
