Author WoodInk is a debut children's writer and lover of dreams who hails from the Center City area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Growing up in northern Philadelphia, she always nurtured a spirited mind and an equally vibrant imagination throughout her childhood. Whenever either of her two sisters would struggle with their nightmares, Author WoodInk's fascination with the realm of dreams would prompt her into action. She'd quickly run to their rescue, gently comfort them, and help them overcome their troubles sleeping. The Juniata Section of North Philadelphia fostered most of her upbringing, which Author WoodInk will tell you was pretty adventurous, actually. She went to Youth Build Charter School, a time where her dreams expanded and her love for writing blossomed even more. Later graduating with a High School Diploma and Certification in Carpentry, Author WoodInk's path had yet to start reflecting her deepest passions. Still, even then, she knew that her creativity would be bursting at the seams sooner than later. Caged away inside her head for years, her boundless imagination would occasionally ooze out at intervals in the most unpredictable ways. Then, in 2019, Author WoodInk decided to let her thoughts run free. Uncaging the inventive adventures she'd been keeping under wraps for as long as she could remember, she began to write her first dream adventure for children, which slowly transformed into Nightmare Fighters, her debut children's novel. Over the years, Author WoodInk developed a special love for filming, and if you're searching for her and can't seem to pin her down, you can bet your last nickel she'll be cozied up somewhere watching Batman movies. A complete list of her hobbies might require a full-length essay, but you can trust that they're just as varied as her vastly imaginative noggin. From her musical inclinations like playing the guitar and tuning into her favorite songs to indulging in the latest video games and building new characters for her next literary adventure, Author WoodInk can't seem to take a break from her own creative drives. No self-help book is safe when she goes on one of her reading rampages, and after being Super Auntie to eight nephews and one niece for the last few years and counting, Author WoodInk definitely knows what rampages are all about. But perhaps her favorite thing of all is spending quality time with her family, between pages, of course.
