The salient findings of our present study suggest that phenolic compounds of the MO leaf extract and BH pulp extract provide a good source of antioxidants that could offer potential protective effects against LPO and which could be exploited to make a hepato protective formulation. The study so far we have made has revealed that MO and BH can be an important alternative way of treating nimesulide induced hepatotoxicity in albino rats as well as in case of human body. All the parameters get changed in a favourable way after the introduction of aqueous leaf and pulp of the said fruit. It is, thus, concluded that the same herbal plant can be used as a crucial agent for curing human hepatotoxicity caused by nimesulide.
