Bill Gunston is one of the most internationally published and respected military and aviation writers, with 380 published works. An RAF pilot from 1945-48, he went on to become technical editor of Flight, technology editor of Science Journal and editor of Jane's Aero-Engines. His is the author of The Development of Jet and Turbo Aero, The World Encyclopedia of Aero Engines, and The World Encyclopedia of Aircraft Manufacturers.
