This book is presenting nine folk songs from Shiraz city, a southern city in Iran. The songs belong to an oral-aural tradition, and have been played and sung by oral native musicians. Autorenporträt
Qmars Piraglu was born in Tehran. Studied the sant¿r with F. P¿yvar and the piano with T. Djalili, H. Vanvarenberg, and S. Tchaikovsky. Qmars settled in Belgium in 1985, got his piano degree, Sweden, 1989, got his bachelor in music from Gothenburg Uni. He moved to Australia in 2001, got his Masters from Melbourne Uni, and Ph.D from Monash University.
