Kris Ufkes-Stertzer was born in the South of France. She grew up in New York City and then raised her children in Aspen, Colorado, where she has been living for the past 25 years. Kris has a medical background and was a health care provider for 20 years, with a focus on caring for children. Her passion for children comes naturally and is the reason she wanted to become a writer. Kris believes that all children need a solid foundation of love and stability and that they should be encouraged to discuss their anxieties and fears.
