This work explains the nitrogen and sulphur systematics in proglacial and subglacial streams during summer melt using stable isotope tracers. The knowledge extracted from samples during this study will impart a great deal of improvement in present understanding of life and elemental cycle in the glaciers and their streams. This study also helps to understand the role of rock derived nitrogen in nitrogen depleted Arctic environments.
