The Nitrogen mineralisation potential book is aimed at determining the rate at which organic matter can mineralise for the release of plant available N in order to cater for nutrient synchronisation in accordance to plant needs. The experiments in the book were planned to adopt a model to cater for the mineralisation rates of organic matter in ferralsols for farmers to know when to add inorganic fertilizers in case of low Nitrogen release by organic matter to avoid excess of the N in the soil which can turn out to be disastrous to the environment or even endorsers to climate change issues.
