Autorenporträt
Helen Garden was born and brought up in Durban on the east coast of South Africa, where she pursued a career in Financial Services. After moving to the United Kingdom and later settling in beautiful, picturesque Cornwall, she ran a successful holiday cottage cleaning business with her husband Hedley, until she took a well deserved retirement in 2023. She has always had a deep and abiding love of literature and encouraged by Hedley¿s enthusiasm to document his difficult early years living with his mother in various parts of Southern Africa, she was inspired to write his story. She enjoys reading, gardening, creating culinary delights and spending time walking in the vibrant and varied Cornish countryside. She is an accomplished artist, and her undoubted love of the African landscape reflects in the majority of her work.
