Moreover, I contacted some of the key people who were involved in the struggle to address some of the racial issues at Randolph County High School such as Revonda's attorney, Morris Dees, and Charlotte Clark-Frieson, the lone black person on the county school board at the time. Additionally, I interviewed former students, some who were at the assembly. However, No Mistakes, No More Tears: The Revonda Bowen Story is more than Revonda's recollection of what happened 10 years ago. This book also tells of what happened to Revonda since that time. It is the story about her struggle to stand up for herself in other situations where she felt powerless. It is the story about her fight to be left alone.
