A fear of the dark is not uncommon in children. No More DARK uses storytelling and rhyme to create a supportive space within which a child can feel comfortable with the darkness that comes with bedtime. It is time for bed and the child has already used their torch to make the dark disappear, but they are still scared. Whilst cuddling up in mum's big comfy bed the child thinks he has convinced Mum that they can sleep there for the night. However, Mum has other plans ... to have some friends sleep over instead. The child gets very excited naming which friends they would like to have sleep over, but they are not who Mum had in mind. The story ends with the child waking up happily in their own bed the next morning. So how will it help to have a friend whose eyes never close, and a friend who sleeps like a log, and who were they? This is an excellent book for children who need a strategy to feel comfortable in the dark at bedtime.
