In 1916, much revered Patrick Pearse and his comrades from the Irish Republican Brotherhood lead the Easter Rising in Dublin, causing mayhem, death and sacrifice, but also, more importantly, a message. Pearse's legacy lived on in the hearts of Irish Republicans for decades to come, who were ready to fight to the death and make the ultimate sacrifice for their Mother Ireland. In No More Heroes, John O' Dwyer examines the message left behind by Pearse and other significant figures from Irish history in an adventure through time, using the power held in the mythical land of Ethernia. His inner child, Wee John, learns with unabashed curiosity all about his childhood heroes from the past and discovers how these men will strive to make a difference to Ireland's unsure future, even from beyond the grave.
