Tim Sawyer is the INC 500 former President and Co-Founder of Astonish Results and Crystal-Clear Digital Marketing. At time of sale, these two companies were valued at more than 90 million dollars. Tim is a recognized world class public speaker who has provided inspiration and professional training to more than 10,000 industry leaders. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Tim spent 12 years developing his sales and sales training programs while working as a loan officer and corporate trainer in the mortgage banking industry. He volunteers his time teaching entrepreneurship and financial literacy to high school students.. As a teenager Tim struggled with a cocaine addiction that led to a life of drug dealing and constant trouble with the law. Prior to turning his life around Tim was court mandated to spend one year in a residential drug rehab where he became determined to take his life in a new direction. Tim obtained his GED while in rehab and started his life over at nineteen. He knew it would be tough as he had no high school diploma, he was a convicted felon and left rehab on probation for five years with a 2 1/2 year suspended prison sentence that left no room for any more mistakes. Tim attributes his recovery to his willingness to accept full responsibility for his actions and he recognizes they were his choices. Armed with a desire to change, Tim quickly discovered he was really good at two things, sales and teaching people how to sell. thirty five years later Tim has a successful professional record to be proud of and if you asked him about his career, he would tell you he's an old fashioned sales guy. He believes at the end of the day, it all comes down to human connection and helping the other person get what they want while doing the same for yourself. Tim wrote this book as a way to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to realize you are not defined by your past, nor are you forever limited by any one mistake. Tim likes to use the saying, "it's not fatal 'til it's fatal." As long as you have breathe in your lungs and blood in your veins, you can always come back stronger than before. Maintaining hope is the key. One of Tim's favorite quotes tells us, "the worst bankrupt in the world is the person who has lost their enthusiasm." Tim believes if you can dream it, you can do it. Throughout the book Tim shares the intimate details of his ongoing struggles with addiction, self esteem and chasing financial independence at all costs, including his own health.
