Autorenporträt
Jim Lutz lost his father at 11. His mother was left raising 3 children and little else. Growing up in the 60's was never easy. Always trying to make ends meet! A graduate of Bucks County Community College in PA and Murray State University in Ky. provided his educational background. He taught elementary school for 35 years in Morrisville, PA and maintains teaching and administration/supervision certifications. He believes educating todays children should be everyones priority. This book is intended to be a fun read to encourage and motivate children to become good readers. Experiences throughout the story focus on lessons to be learned. From counting to colors to sharing focus on learning readiness for preschool. His relationship with his grandchildren is a true labor of love. Children begin their educational journey at a very young age. In, "No More Worms Papa", two sisters and their Papa develop a close family relationship. When the girls Lily and Mae realize their Papa maintains a rather strange appetite their concern was not about his being different, but about his over health. Our schools have an ongoing problem today with bullying. Lily and Mae have accepted their grandfathers difference. Hopefully, the first step in accepting all people regardless of their differences. Everyone is different, even their Papa. Rather than being critical, they accepted his difference and tried to solve it with artwork. And what better way for a toddler than drawings to be hung from a refrigerator!Nadia Ronquillo is a young and upcoming artist from Guayaquil, Ecuador. She has illustrated a wide variety of children's books. Her talent with design and use of color are exceptional."No More Worms Papa" is just her latest production and contribution to children's literature.
