Autorenporträt
I've taught art for approximately 15 years of the 30-plus years that I taught school here in the Peace River country. I loved the way kids thought to make art work their own. I went to many different art classes in my part of the world and came away with lots of ideas to pass on to my students. Parents gave lots of positive feedback, as did the administration. I was very proud of my high school students when they chose art-related careers such as illustrating for medical books or being art curators. Art didn't necessarily provide us with careers but it certainly helped ward off winter blues. For many of the years that I taught art I also ran a small company, Dolls's Dolls, in which I taught adult students and some school students to make porcelain dolls. I kept busy from morning til night including teaching, raising my girls, and teaching my evening classes to make dolls.
