PJ McIlvaine is the author of the zany picture book No Such Things as Dragons (Roan & Weatherford, April 2024) with illustrations by K.M. Brown, a middle-grade supernatural historical mystery Violet York, Gilded Girl: Ghosts in the Closet (Darkstroke Books, 2022), as well as her debut picture book Little Lena and the Big Table (Big Belly Book Co., 2019) with illustrations by Leila Nabih. Her Showtime original movie, My Horrible Year, was nominated for a Daytime Emmy. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Newsday, Writer's Digest, Crime Reads/Lit Hub, and elsewhere. She lives on Eastern Long Island with her family and Luna, a pampered French Bulldog.
