Live gives us oh so many signs, and we choose to either pay attention or ignore them. The true target of my writing is whoever wants to live life with positivity, zero drama, and zero conflict. However, should conflict arise, well: solve it as much of a win-win as possible, even if that sometimes means losing a little... I write this in honor of and to motivate all those who have been stabbed to the heart, faced bitter words, and had seeds of discord sown within them-to all who have had their nerves touched and had others dig their fingers into their wounds... all that just for being honest and true, refusing to pretend to be more than we are, speaking the truth, hoping things are properly done, and always holding good intentions. This is my gift so that the phrase, "No wonder you're alone!"-which sought to hurt or diminish you-will never again buzz in your minds like bumblebees, flitting back and forth... and so you can let go of it with the certainty that your choices are solely yours, deserving of no minimization or invalidation, for they represent the best we could have done. Rather than inflicting the same upon others, let us be a light in our lives and in the lives of those around us. I dedicate this book to the new generation of independent professionals who fight against the odds, armed only with their little book of principles, to remind them that victory doesn't always come from winning; sometimes, it is about emerging triumphant in this: your life.
