Noise is a typical factor in the working ergonomic systems. It is the reason for the occurrence of risks whose prevention, reduction or offsetting requires careful assessment. Lots of modern conception for the risk of noise are inadequate and need to be rechecked in order to be applicable to a huge group of citizens. The paper's subject is the assessment of noise risk in the compartment of a car. The work done consist of: terminological and methodological study of the problem, and formalization of a new method for assessing the noise risk in a car driving on different types of road surface. The measurement of the equivalent sound pressure levels, used to assess urban noise, doesn't adequately show its negative effects. Firstly, they rely on annoyance as an index to assess the public response to noise. And, secondly, the limitations in the use of technical dimensions for noise assessment do not allow the consideration of health data measured for health assessment, such as an increase in blood pressure. The automobile transport has an increased importance to the human society development. And the noise must be studied in detail in order to understand the risk from noise generated.
