Ayelet Gilboa is Professor of Archaeology at the University of Haifa in Israel, co-directing the Tel Dor and Shikmona projects. She published extensively on cross-Mediterranean interconnections; Phoenicians; "Sea Peoples"; Iron Age ceramic chrono-typology; and the symbolic properties of material culture. Assaf Yasur-Landau is Professor of Mediterranean Archaeology and Head of the Leon Recanati Institute of Maritime Studies at the University of Haifa. He co-directed excavations at Kabri and Hazor, underwater excavations at Tel Dor and underwater surveys at the Carmel coast.
