Alan Keith Maynard was a British health economist. Born in Bebington, Maynard studied at the Universities of Newcastle upon Tyne and York. After a stint at the University of Exeter, he was appointed to the University of York in 1971. Iain Chalmers is the editor of Non-Random Reflections: On Health Services Research: On the 25th Anniversary of Archie Cochrane's Effectiveness and Efficiency, published by Wiley.
