The use of applications that connect to the internet has grown considerably. Among them is the WhatsApp® application, which in addition to various features that facilitate communication, has a keyboard on its platform that has digital signs called Emojis. The centrepiece of this work is the non-verbal language used in the application in question, through the use of Emojis. The aim was to understand how users utilise this communication tool in order to make digital text more expressive. To this end, questionnaires were administered within the Google Drive Virtual Environment, with links sent via the WhatsApp® application itself and distributed throughout the virtual network. The results of the survey showed the identification of the main meanings attributed to these Emojis in the digital discourse used by users. It's worth a look!
