Despite the great success and international demand for noni products, there is still little research on this species in Brazil, with a shortage of studies on its agronomic characteristics. The aim of this research was to evaluate the best substrate for producing noni seedlings, as well as to assess the agronomic characteristics of the seedlings that were propagated. The treatments were defined by a combination of four organic fertilizers (cattle manure, sheep manure, poultry manure and compost), plus one part sand and one part clay (3:1 v/v), with five replications and each experimental plot c...
The treatments were defined by a combination of four organic fertilizers (cattle manure, sheep manure, poultry manure and compost), plus one part sand and one part clay (3:1 v/v), with five replications and each experimental plot consisting of 3 plants, making a total of 60 plants. The soil-based substrate (soil + clay + sand) in the ratio (1:2:1) provided the best development for the noni seedlings. Noni shows satisfactory growth and consequently good development in the region with a high survival rate.
