This text book proposes two-stage nonlinear filters for noisy edge detection called Pixon based Image Denoising Scheme based on pixons, and color edge detectors for noisy images for detecting the edges from a noisy image, based on nonlinear prefiltering scheme and block-by-block rotations. This text book also proposes one-stage nonlinear filters called Nonlinear noise suppression edge detection scheme for noisy images, and Nonlinear robust edge detector for noisy images without doing any regularization for efficient edge detection from noisy images. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithmswith other methods in the literature.
