Although technology get advanced but lots of cases of dam failure occur in the past due to earthquake and consequently losses of life. So it becomes necessary to developed earthquake resistance dam for strong ground motion. In this book after discussion of different methods, finite element method is adopt for the analysis of dam. A strong ground motion has been chosen for the analysis of earthen dam considering nonlinearity of the material. The complete analysis of dam undergoes various steps like slope stability, seepage, pore water pressure, stress-strain and deformation analyses for static and dynamics loads. The results and effects of nonlinearity discussed in details.
