North Carolina JCL sponsors three main events each year. Fall Forum, usually held in November, is composed of general assemblies, a lecture by a visiting professor, Silly Olympika, as well as Mixed-Up Certamen. The Spring Certamen tournament, which usually takes place on the last weekend in March, is the qualifying tournament for the Competitive Certamen semifinals, which are held at the NCJCL State Convention, either in April or May.
