GERALD L. STORM was a wildlife biologist with the U.S. Department of Interior (Fish and Wildlife Service and National Biological Service), and served as an associate professor of wildlife management with Pennsylvania State University for twenty-five years, retiring in 1997. LAURA S. KENEFIC is a research forester and team leader with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Northern Research Station, and faculty associate in the School of Forest Resources at the University of Maine.
