Autorenporträt
Award winning Graphic Designer and Illustrator, Gregory Joseph Borowski shares his creative talents and sensitive point-of-view in his books "Luv, Lucas: Life Learnings from a Four-legged Friend"; "Lucas Luvs Silence"; "Nose Art by Lucas" and now "Lucas Luvs Animals from A to Z". Known for his optimistic nature, artistic viewpoint and sense of humor, he merges his values and self growth pursuits in his published works. He was born in Buffalo, New York, graduated magna cum laude at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo with a BFA degree in painting. While participating in the "Semester in Soho" program, an elective offered by the Empire State College, he had the opportunity to have his fine art critiqued by New York's most notable fine artists of the day. Returning to Buffalo, on graduation he received the Rumsey Travel Fellowship, an esteemed honor juried and awarded by the University's art and art history faculty. Rounding out his education he attended an independent study MFA program in Advertising Design and Communications at Syracuse University. His career landed him in Chicago where he worked on advertising and marketing campaigns for some of the most successful companies in the country such as Apple®, American Express® and Kellogg's®. In Chicago, he also instructed courses at the College of Merchandising and Design. He continued his career in Miami and Atlanta through his businesses: Borowski Design, Graphic Design 4 Food and The Book Cover Center. His interest in book publishing grew while designing multiple book covers for Great Books (Chicago), Palm Springs Publishing (Los Angeles, Miami, New York) and various self-published authors. He currently resides in North Georgia and enjoys exploring the outdoors with his border collie Lucas, while continuing his painting, photography and design pursuits.
