When Reg Raleigh is discharged from his senior banking position in London due to the Depression, he finds his life empty. On impulse, Reg buys a used bicycle and pedals his way into life as a small-town detective. During his bizarre adventures, he gets more involved in the lives of strangers, pubs, and cats than he ever thought possible. This unmoored gentleman even contrives the destruction of a woman's marriage plans-but only because he hopes to marry her himself. Not Full Circle is the next offering from the Shakleys, continuing their multi-faceted look at period London through a series of quirky, complex characters.
