Being a teenager is impossibly hard under the best of circumstances. Now take those new hormones, that lack of confidence, that determination to set yourself apart as an individual, and the myriad of questions floating through your mind as you grow, and change into an adult and put yourself in a household of people who might be abusing you emotionally or physically. Maybe your parents are getting a divorce. Maybe you're struggling in school. Maybe you feel alone or isolated. Maybe you're being bullied online, at school or your place of worship. Maybe you have no one to talk to. Maybe you've lost someone close to you. That was my life, too. Maybe you're a little bit like I was in my teen years. That's what this book is. A look at what it was like for me growing up as a teenager in a home full of drugs, abuse, dead beat parents, mental illness, and a lack of community and support to help me become the person I wanted to be. I hope this book will give you someone to relate to so that you don't feel alone in all that you're experiencing in your life, and help you find the courage to reach out and tell someone what you're going through and ask for their support. At the end of the book I've created a simple guide on how to create your support network. You have good people around you who care about your well being. It might be hard to see, but I can guarantee they exist. You don't have to be alone.
