Jess B. Nunnelee is a retired petroleum engineer who lived and worked in Yemen for seven years in the 1990s. For three years, while living in Sana'a, he studied Arabic with a tutor and became proficient in the basics of the language.Nothing but a Sheet of Glass is his second novel. He is also author of The Sands of the Two Queens.
