Have you ever felt like you're running on empty, with nothing left to give to your job, your family, or even yourself? Nothing Left to Give isn't just a book. It's a conversation with someone who's been there. Dr. Florence Obianyor is a family physician and therapist who has seen firsthand how burnout can sneak up on the most dedicated professionals in many industries. Burnout is not a mental health disorder and so prescription is not the answer. You need a holistic approach which includes understanding burnout, learning how to identify if you or a person you care about are experiencing it, and then creating a custom healing plan. Dr. Florence's mission is to raise awareness about burnout and empower individuals to take control of their well-being, overcome burnout, and thrive when they return to the workplace. Despite the burnout stigma on 'not being tough enough', she invites you into her own personal space; baring nothing as she shares her experiences and those of her clients who have suffered from burnout. She discusses the cultural, environmental, and identity-based aspects of burnout. In this book, you will learn how to heal and recover by setting better expectations while finding personal resources in the workplace. You'll work through specific exercises that Dr. Florence uses to help her clients recover through self-reflection. You'll develop strategies to assess your personal and workplace culture and make empowering changes so you can return to work with a full tank of energy and enthusiasm. It's time to take charge of your well-being and make rewarding lifestyle changes so you can get back to thriving instead of surviving.
