This book is an attempt to examine both common and university knowledge in Algeria. Few works of reflection on the Algerian university have been produced. Inherited from the colonial era, the knowledge associated with Algeria has not been able to reconstitute itself according to what the historical ruptures have done to the episteme. Will we have to wait decades to examine post-independence knowledge? Is the knowledge we have attached to "de-ethnicized" cultural referents? Our pen is repairing itself by sacrificing language (very poor indeed) on the altar of rigor (questioning the prevailing doxa).
