The main theme of the book - publishing activities of the Russian abroad. It is demonstrated by the example of one of the periodicals of Russian post-revolutionary emigration - the magazine "Novy Grad" (Paris, 1931-1939). The book reflects such problems as 1. It reveals the specifics of the phenomenon of the first post-revolutionary wave of emigration (1917-1939): the reasons for its formation, the main centers of dispersion, the social and quantitative composition of emigrants, the living conditions of Russian emigration abroad; 2. It presents detailed information about the Novy Grad journal: the organization of the periodical, the purpose and program of the journal, as well as the views of one of the editors of the publication, F.A.Stepan, who developed the concept of "Christian socialism" for the current (Novy Grad). The book is based on a diploma thesis. In 2006, the work was awarded a diploma by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation as a result of an open competition for the best work of students in natural, technical and humanities sciences in universities of the Russian Federation. The work is intended for historians-researchers, teachers, students and everyone who is interested in the problems of Russian emigration of the first wave.
