Born in Ohio and currently residing in Kansas, Joshua Alan Sturgill, M. Div., MA, is a graduate of Sangre de Cristo Seminary in Westcliffe, Colorado; and spent five years at St. John's College in Santa Fe, completed by a rich immersion in the classic texts of the Far East. An ongoing association with Eighth Day Books has provided a wealth of opportunities for reading, writing and speaking. Darkly Bright Press has published Sturgill's first poetry collection, As Far As I Can Tell (2018), and the chapbook Precession: A Circle of Poems from Africa (2019). Sturgill's second full-length volume, Now a Major Motion Picture, was be published in 2022, also through Darkly Bright Press.
