He "quit church", stop reading his Bible, and stop obeying the word of God. Since God chastens those whom He loves, the writer began feeling the hand of God in time and he repented. Through the prayers of his parents, shock treatments with medication, and group therapy, he recovered from stays in a mental hospital and returned to God. No longer neglecting God and His ways, God's word in now being written upon the author's heart because he obeys God now. Jerry Daniel was born in Oxford, NC. He started school the same year segregation in public schools was outlawed. Daniel went to Guilford County schools except for two years in Granville County at G C Hawley High in Creedmoor NC. The Guilford school was Laughlin High named after an educator who was a principal there. Both high schools served all twelve grades. Daniel graduated from Norhtwest Guilford High in Greensboro, NC. After two years at Howard University in Washington, DC he finished at UNC-G with a bachelors' degree. Daniel received a Masters' degree from Jacksonville (FLA) Theological Seminary and is an ordained minister. Blood donor for life.
