Now You Can Take My Picture brings to life the travels and photography of Mike Harris. Mike and his wife Sally seek out places to travel where they can interact with people whose lives and cultures are different from their own. They have traveled extensively in foreign countries but also treasure their travels within the United States. The couple share their work with live and digital presentations and through galleries and exhibitions. But Mike wanted something more ... something you could touch, hold and take home with you. This is why he has created this book. Mike includes photographs from adventures he has experienced while travelling with professional photographers. Those professional photographers have offered their thoughts about their favorite images. What makes Now You Can Take My Picture different is Mike's stories where he describes what attracted him to take selected photographs and why these photographs have special meaning for him. He takes the viewer along on the journey.

Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, Mike Harris has spent most of his life in Greenwich, Connecticut, where he practiced law for fifty years. Since 2007, he has actively pursued his passion for photography. Mike's goal is to share his vision of different cultures through photography. He strives to bring to the photograph the essence of the people he meets and the places where they live. Mike had his first solo exhibit of his work at the Cos Cob Library in 2014, and his photographs have been selected for juried shows at the Greenwich Library, the Bendheim Gallery in Greenwich, the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan and the Greenwich and Stamford Connecticut Art Societies. Greenwich Magazine has featured Mike's photographs in several of its monthly issues, and a number of his works are held in private collections including the Snite Museum at the University of Notre Dame. Mike is married to Sally Harris, who shares his love of photography. Together, Mike and Sally regularly present photo essays to interested groups. The two have had exhibitions of their photographs at the Greenwich Botanical Center Gallery, the Cos Cob Library and the Greenwich YWCA. In April 2019, the Greenwich Arts Council presented an acclaimed retrospective which included over seventy of Mike and Sally's photographs. In April 2020 Greenwich Magazine published a feature article about Mike and Sally, their travels and the photography they have produced.
