Prof.Olofintoye had BSc. Agric from University of Ife. 1973. He had two six-months training at IRRI Philipines, on advanced research and production of rice. He had MSc & PhD in agronomy at the University of the Philipines. He lectured at Unilorin where he rose through the ranks to the level of professor of Agronomy. He is still a prolific writer
