The Nta and their Neighbours: Inter group Relations in the Central Cross River Region attempts an examination of the changing pattern of relations between the Nta and Mbembe groups of Ikom in the central Cross River region from per-colonial times to the present. It is shown that the colonial interlude reshaped the familiar pattern of group relationships and intensified in its wake individualism and competition hitherto unknown.
