Nuclear Medicine Therapy presents the state of the art in targeted radionuclide therapy, both in clinical practice and contemporary clinical investigation and trials. With contributions from an internationally-distinguished group of physicians and scientists, the book is devoted entirely to the use of nuclear medicine techniques and technology for therapy of malignant and benign diseases. Individual chapters cover the scientific principles and clinical applications of radionuclide therapy and the state of clinical trials of agents currently under investigation in the therapy of tumors involving virtually every organ system.
Due to overlapping interest in techniques, indications, and clinical use, the development of radionuclide therapy attracts considerable input from other medical specialists whose collaboration is essential, including radiation and medical oncologists, hematologists, diagnostic radiologists, hepatologists, endocrinologists, and rheumatologists. And because radionuclide therapy is a rapidly evolving field of nuclear medicine, it is the aim of this volume to appeal to all specialists involved in targeted radionuclide therapy and to contribute to the standardization of the practice globally.

From the reviews:
"The intended audience includes trainees learning to perform medical treatments with radioactive materials as well as experienced nuclear medicine physicians and/or radiologists. ... this book is a necessary and comprehensive reference. ... Each chapter includes numerous appropriate references and has well-placed subheadings, which makes it easy to read. ... this book is an excellent reference that discusses both the clinical and practical fundamentals of current and promising new nuclear medicine therapy procedures." (Karen Kurdziel, Radiology, Vol. 268 (3), September, 2013)
"This book will be helpful to nuclear medicine physicians, residents, and research scientists who are eager to learn the state of the art concerning targeted radionuclide therapy ... . book is devoted entirely to nuclear medicine therapy, which includes topics ranging from clinical applications to basic knowledge on nuclear medicine technology and radiobiology related to therapy. ... recommend this worthwhile book to clinicians and nuclear medicine scientists. Reading this book will be a good starting point for learning the present status of nuclear medicine therapy." (So Won Oh and Dong Soo Lee, The Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Vol. 54 (8), August, 2013)
"This book is a rara avis (rare bird), being entirely devoted to the principles and clinical applications of radionuclide therapy, a fundamental branch of nuclear medicine, which is continually growing in its applications outside its historic territory centred on thyroid diseases. ... the book would be very useful both for practitioners in radionuclide therapy and for residents in nuclear medicine (or radiology). Finally, this book may be suggested to physicists and to all those who have a strong interest in radionuclide therapy." (Luigi Mansi and Mariarosaria Prisco, European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Vol. 40, 2013)
