El Dr. James Strong, profesor de teología exegética en el Seminario Teológico Drew, publicó en 1890 una monumental concordancia de la versión inglesa Reina-Valera de las Sagradas Escrituras. Fruto de 35 años de trabajo el Dr. Strong y más de cien colegas, se han convertido desde entonces en la concordancia que más se ha utilizado en inglés y en un patrón permanente para referencia y estudio bíblico.
