Autorenporträt
Michelle L. Dean was born in Ocala, Florida. She grew up in the small town of Anthony, Florida. She is a wife, mother of three sons, and a meme to her beautiful grandbabies. She has worked in early childhood for 32 years and enjoys teaching kindergarten and college students and presenting at early childhood conferences. She tells the story of each number monster, one through twenty, as they swim under the sea at the request of a scuba diver friend. The number monsters have so much fun counting exquisite sea animals in their natural habitat. This is the second book in the Monster Book series. If you are looking for a monster shape book and a monster color book, stay tuned because the following two books in the book series will be coming soon. Monsters do not have to be scary. They can help children learn and grow in an exciting new monster world. Michelle loves to write about STR2EAM concepts. This includes science, technology, reading, religion, engineering, art, and mathematics for young children. She has a Shelbo's Adventure Series with two books thus far. Her first book, Shelbo's Adventures in Science: Natural Light and Man-made Light. Her second book, Shelbo's Adventures in Technology: A Trip to the Dentist. These books build a child's self-esteem and help them conquer their fears. Michelle has her master's degree in early childhood educational leadership. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies. She also completed the Harvard Mentorship Program. She is an adjunct professor at a local university teaching a wide range of early childhood courses. During the day, she teaches kindergarten to outstanding kindergarten students in a neighboring county.
