The industrial manufacturing of today uses equipment that rotates at high speed and bears heavy rotor loads. Fluid film journal bearings are used in such an application. The bearing of a fluid film journal is a mechanical feature designed to withstand a high load while allowing relative motion between the surface of the journal and the bearing. The fluid film bearing is often referred to as the bearing in hydrodynamic papers. The journal and bearing wall are split between clearance spaces by fluid film which is added.Three dimensional models were simulated using the ANSYS Fluent software package to reliably predict the journal bearing analysis efficiency of the three turbulent models. Design parameters such as static strain, wall shear stress and carrying potential of dimensionless load were considered and research was conducted for the analysis of various L/D ratios of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5. And 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9 are the eccentricity ratios taken into account. In Ansys, computationalfluid dynamics (CFD) and fluid structure interplay (FSI) are achieved.
