The book elaborates a simple and direct approach to model and numerically simulate the flapping wing kinematic and aerodynamics of mid-size bird-like biosystems. The physical and mathematical modelling are based on first principles and linearized kinematics and aerodynamics. The objective of the work outlined is to obtain a quick impression on the physical phenomena being studied through structured modelling and analysis, which can further be developed into a more refined approach incorporating salient features of flapping wing phenomena in progressive fashion. The reader may utilize the approach presented to model more elaborate flapping wing physics, kinematics and aerodynamics, and for gaining quick impression and understanding of the mechanics of bird-like biosystem flight in the atmosphere, as well as designing experiments to that end.
