This problem has been addressed by considering the variable: grade/accumulation as a Regionalized Variable but not as a Random Variable. The variation around a fixed surface reflected by assay values may not necessary be considered as random. These could be due to real variations with-in the variable. Hence tru-ctural analysis which can be reflected by variographic models can be employed. Kriging which utilizes the variogram models,leads to Best Linear Unbiased Estimates in the stationary case.In order to make proper estimation of mineral value properties, a study of the underlying distribution is essential.
