Rubber anti-vibration systems are widely used in rail, marine, automobile and other industrial applications. Rubber-to-metal bonded springs are essential anti-vibration components and are designed to protect structures and equipment from vibration and impact forces. It is desirable to have a comprehensive book in this specialized field. This book is designed for engineers who work in industry on rubber anti-vibration systems with validated approaches and actual cases. In addition, it can be served as a reference for scientists and a textbook for university students in engineering. There are twenty-six real industrial cases, which have all been peer-reviewed, to cover major topics for rubber anti-vibration systems including quasi-static evaluation, fatigue design, dynamic assessment, loading-unloading prediction, calculation on heat generation (self-heating) and estimation on creep and stress relaxation. I am very grateful to my teachers and colleagues, especially to my late wife Dr. Wendy Xiaohui Wu ( ) for her contributions to this book. Robert Keqi Luo ( ) Leicester UK 2017
