Significance of this drug delivery system includes administration without water, accuracy of dosage, ease of portability, alternative to liquid dosage forms ideal for pediatric and geriatric patients and rapid onset of action. In the present study, an attempt had been made to prepare nutraceutical fast dissolving tablets in the oral cavity with enhanced dissolution rate & hence improved patient compliance as type-2 diabetes is more common in geriatric patients.
